    World on Fire is the media channel of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN). We work at the front lines of the climate movement in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. This channel is where you will find our original video, radio and photographic work brought strait from our protests, press events, hearings and other events. The state of Virginia VS. Reality

Dominion Virginia Power is set to begin construction of a new conventional coal-fired power plant at the same time as consensus is building around the necessity for a moratorium on all global warming causing coal plants. Democratic Governor of Virginia, Tim Kaine, supports the new plant despite his stated desires to lower carbon emissions.
